HOW TO PREPARE MATCHA

ICED MATCHA 

What you need:

  • 1 Teaspoon Matcha Powder
  • 2 oz Water
  • Whisk
  • Matcha Bowl
  • Sweetener of Choice (Honey, Agave, Cane Sugar, Etc.) 

Mixing Instructions

  1. Sift matcha or add 1 teaspoon of matcha powder into a bowl
  2. Pour 2 oz of hot water approximately 165 degrees (not boiling) into the bowl with your matcha powder. 
  3. Whisk vigorously for 15 seconds, making an "m" or "w" shape
  4. Sweeten to taste by adding to the bowl and whisking again till mixed. For a sweetened matcha we recommend using raw honey or agave over cane sugar and or artificial sweeteners. 
  5. Pour over a cup with ice, add water to taste, and enjoy! 

TRADITIONAL MATCHA (HOT)

What You Need:
  • 1 Teaspoon Matcha Powder
  • 2 oz Water (165 degrees) 
  • Whisk
  • Matcha Bowl
Mixing Instructions:
  1. Sift Matcha or add 1 teaspoon of matcha powder into a bowl
  2. Pour 2 oz of hot water approximately 165 degrees (not boiling) into the bowl with your matcha powder.
  3. Whisk vigorously for 15 seconds, making an "m" or "w" shape
  4. Add more hot water to taste. 
  5. Enjoy straight from the bowl as matcha is a sensory experience and you should taste and smell at the same time!

ICED MATCHA LATTE 

What you need:

  • Personal Size Blender or Handheld Frother
  • 1/4 Cup of Hot Water
  • Matcha Powder
  • Honey, Agave or Sweetener of your Choice
  • Non Dairy Milk of Choice

Mixing Instructions

  1. Put 1 teaspoon of matcha powder into a small personal size blender or cup. (sifting first is optional).
  2. Add 1/4 cup of hot water (approximately 165 degrees).
  3. Blend or use the handheld frother till the mixture is smooth and frothy.
  4. Add a splash of honey or sweetener of choice and mix again till smooth. 
  5. Pour into a cup full of Ice and top with the desired amount of almond milk and enjoy!

MATCHA LATTE (HOT)

What you need:
  • Blender
  • 1/4 cup of hot water
  • Matcha Powder
  • Honey, Agave or sweetener of your choice
  • Almond Milk of choice

Mixing Instructions

  1. Put 1 teaspoon of matcha powder into a small personal size blender or cup. (sifting first is optional).
  2. Add 1/4 cup of hot water (approximately 165 degrees).
  3. Blend or use the handheld frother till the mixture is smooth and frothy.
  4. Add a splash of honey or sweetener of choice and mix again till smooth. 
  5. Warm a cup of non-dairy milk of choice in the microwave or on the stove top. 
  6. Combine the matcha with the warm milk and enjoy!
